Hi I'm Justin

I like getting outdoors whenever I get a chance. I like camping, shooting guns, and paintballing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working toward my MBA. I tried my hand working as an accountant in a tax department, but am hoping for a change in the near future. I believe marketing would be a better career match for my personality. My wife and I love to play games and hang out with friends. It's a good way to change up the routine now and then. My little girls have a ton of energy, but their little personalities are what make me happy to see them every day. If I can get out and play paintball with my brothers, I love it. It's fun every now and then to run around in the wilderness, acting like kids. The only care in the world at that point is trying not to get shot. I love hiking with my family. There are a few nearby streams that my wife and I love to take the kids to. It's fun to see the joy on their faces, but can be a little tiring carrying them both. At the end of the day, it's my family that keeps me motivated to succeed.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but went as kid because my parents wanted me to. I always felt good while at church, but never really wanted to go. I guess I just took it for granted. When I was 19, and living on my own, I stopped going to church. My parents had moved to Colorado, and I was still living in New York. It just wasn't convenient for me to go, and I felt like I didn't really need it. It wasn't until I was 21 that I felt compelled to move to Colorado to be with my family. At that point I felt a strong desire to start going back to church, so I moved to be with my family a started going again. I dove into the gospel headfirst. I began reading the Book of Mormon cover to cover for the first time in my life. I quickly developed a strong testimony of the gospel and its truthfulness. A bout 9 months after I became active on my own, I met my wonderful wife. We hit it off, hanging out every day since we met. We were married 8 months later in the Columbus, OH Temple. We have since had two beautiful little girls. This gospel plays such an important role in my life. I know that it is true. Through the teachings of this gospel, I have come to know our Heavenly Father has a plan that not only allows us to return to Him, but it allows us to do so with our families. He loves us all individually, as we are His children. He knows each and every one of us. He has given us a plan of salvation, along with free agency. We were given the choice to come to earth, to live His gospel, and return to live with Him. God has also given the most important thing he had to offer, His Son. I know that Jesus Christ was sent to this earth to offer a perfect example for us, to teach us how we should live our lives, and to atone for our sins. He is our Brother and our Savior. It is through his sacrifice that we can repent of our misdeeds, and return to live with our Heavenly Father once again.

How I live my faith

I am pretty involved in the church. In various times in my life, I have volunteered as a Youth Counselor, Sunday school teacher, Boy Scout leader, and Financial Clerk. I currently serve as a Clerk over membership and finances, and a Youth Sunday School teacher. We have such amazing youth in our church, and it really is an honor to be able to teach them the gospel. I believe that service is one of the most important things you can do to show someone your love for them. When you serve others, you serve the Lord. It is through service that I have developed a close relationship with my Savior.
