Hi I'm Mark

I'm a husband and father. I'm a former banker now working to provide employment for people living in poverty. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first and foremost a husband and father. Through the wonderful gift of adoption, my wife and I have 4 children. I love to hike in the mountains, vacation at the beach, coach or watch my children's sports teams, travel, read, play the piano, and exercise. In my profession I seek to provide greater opportunity to people living in poverty in Latin America. Having lived in Latin America and having friendships and professional relationships with many people from that region, I love the selflessness, friendliness and hardworking nature of the people. I love the spanish language and am fortunate in my work to get to speak it nearly every day.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church has taught me what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ, how to follow him and how I can be more like him. It has given me opportunities to serve others and to learn to love people of all backgrounds and faiths. The most joyful experiences of my life have come through learning the teachings of Jesus Christ and then trying to apply them in my life as I serve my family, friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers. I have had the opportunity over many years to become friends with, learn from, and to serve people from all over the world, and I have seen how the gospel of Jesus Christ changes their lives for the good and brings them great happiness.

How I live my faith

I work with youth, helping teenage boys build character through scouting and serving their community. I visit neighbors to check in on them and see how they are doing. I participate in community projects such as food drives that benefit the less fortunate. I try to be a good Christian in how I treat my neighbors and everyone with whom I interact.
