Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 36 long years I finally found my Handsome Prince! We enjoy doing family things together, often referred to as FFF or Forced Family Fun. A favorite is geocaching! There is nothing like (appearing to be) wandering aimlessly in the beauty of God's world looking for a container with a raggedy piece of paper to write your name on! We (I use the term loosely) like to cook outdoors at least once a week and try new recipes indoors and out. Dishes are not my favorite, but I always have a happy feeling when they are done! With children a few months old to 26 and a couple grandkids we always have something going on!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 3 my mother took me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for the first time. I can still remember the feeling I had, all warm and fuzzy inside. She didn't tell me I was going anywhere "special" that day or anything. I was 3, I went where she took me. I can still vividly see my first Primary or Sunday School Teacher telling us "do not put your hands in the koolaid" (that had spilled). I looked around the little table and saw 4 other kids wiping the red koolaid with their hands and I joined in. That poor teacher. She didn't get upset with us, she calmly moved us one at a time away from the table, cleaned off our hands and then cleaned up the spilled kool aid. I believe at this young age, this is where our testimony starts to develop. I knew from the love that teacher showed me that she really and truly cared for the three year olds she taught every week.

How I live my faith

Now I have the opportunity to work with the small children at church. I LOVE being able to share the stories from the Bible and Book of Mormon with them. I love being able to teach them to be thankful for their ears, so we can hear. I hope that by my example, they will start to build their own testimony of the gospel. I try to be a good example of myself wherever I go. I teach out in the communities I live in and around and always enjoy helping others be the best version of themselves. I enjoy helping families get the referrals they need whether it be to a good sale at a grocery store, a social service agency, or a place that might be hiring. I try to be the example that Jesus was to all of us.
