Hi I'm Devin

I enjoy all things fly fishing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student studying fisheries biology. I hope to be able to help improve and protect our fisheries and outdoor resources for future generations. I fly fish every minute I get and I often think about it when I'm not fishing. I am happily married and love spending time with my wife outside or any other chance I get. I also enjoy lots of different music and trying to stay in shape.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with the church in my life but I didn't realize the full value of the gospel's teaching until several years after I was married. The church believes that families can be happy together both before and after this life. I love my wife and realized that I not only wanted the promise of being together after this life but also the strength and peace that the gospel brings to a marriage in this life. I believe that Christ is the Savior of anyone who will embrace his teachings and try to live as close to his example as they can. I also believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches the fulness of his gospel and that's why I'm a member.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live the teachings of Christ. I believe in kindness and tolerance towards those we come in contact with. I try to follow the teachings of the scriptures and listen closely to the guidance that the leaders of our church give us as I believe they are men and women of God. Most importantly, I seek personal guidance through prayer and believe I receive answers to those prayers through the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are absolutely Christians. We believe that Christ is the head of our church and we try to live the way he would want to the best of our abilities. Show more Show less
