Hi I'm TJ

I grew up in small town in Montana. I went to college, married, had two kids and teach at a middle school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for five years to my lovely wife and am a father of two rambunctious and lively children. I like to play sports, including basketball, football, and am currently attempting to train for a triathlon. Due to time restraints football is mainly limited to the fantasy variety right now. I also like to do woodworking, mainly furniture. Finding time for these is difficult however while teaching Spanish at the local middle school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I know it is true. I know this because I have experienced it for myself. It is something very powerful and special to pray and ask God a simple clear question, "Is what I am learning true?" and have him answer. He touched something inside of me and made me feel for myself that this was his teachings and his will. I have also had the experience of teaching others and watching as they also asked and learned for themselves the truth. It is something spectacular that all of us can do.

How I live my faith

I love being around and teaching the youth, so much so that I have made a career out of it teaching. I also get this opportunity in church as I teach a scripture study class for 14-16 year old's. It is surprising and refreshing to hear their insights and how much they really do understand and know the scriptures.
