Hi I'm Mark Ahrenholtz

I was born in Boone, Iowa but grew up in the greatest town in America - Greeley, Colorado. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend. Kim and I have been married for 21 years. We have four children. We lived in Littleton, Colorado when we were married, then moved to Omaha, Nebraska for 7 years, and then moved to Dammeron Valley, Utah for 9 years. We just recently moved back to Littleton. I have been in banking since graduating from college. I enjoy hiking in the mountains and bicycling.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always a Mormon. I was raised in the Methodist church. After graduating from college I didn't go to church for a few years. After some prodding from my Mom, I went back to church. Somethings changed though in the time that I was not attending. Things that I really struggled with. I was introduced to the Mormon church and attended a few meeting with two full-time missionaries. The church service was much more similar to services I remembered from my youth. Different in some ways, but very similar in others. I am a Mormon because I believe in the tenets of the church. I believe Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to be separate beings. I believe that God loves us enough to continue to speak to us, through a chosen Prophet. I believe God expects a lot of us and tests us to our capacity to see how we will react and behave. He loves us and He doesn't mind putting our love of Him to a test now and then. I get great strength in knowing that He loves me that much. I don't want to let Him down so I am careful in how I act and react to situations. I am greatly blessed in my life. I am willing to follow the commandments and honor covenants to prove my love for my Father in Heaven. My family is of supreme importance to me. My immediate and extended family. I know that life goes on after our time on earth is over. I know that families truly can be together forever, not only because that is what I want, but also because that is how a loving Father would want it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. I try to be an example to others in how I think they should live as well. I know that I represent my Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ and the church as an organization. I am willing to serve in any capacity, and desire to watch out for others in need.
