Hi I'm Pam

I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and have been a Mormon my entire life.

About Me

I am a mom of a 14-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl and have been happily married for almost 20 years. I love to read, scrapbook. quilt, blog and social network. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with family and friends visiting, playing games or playing at the lake we live by. I am a newspaper editor and love community service. One of my favorite community events is Relay for Life and I am heavily involved in that event within my community. I enjoy getting involved politically as well. I am blessed to live in a community where people truly care about what happens to their neighbors. If I have my choice of cuisine, I will always choose Mexican food - boring Mexican food! I love a good cheese enchilada with fresh chips and spicy salsa. The teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ are the center of my life and my family's as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I choose to follow the teachings of the church because I know that they are the true. I love that the church teaches us, as small children, to speak in public, serve each other and those in our community, and to step up and pitch in when there is work to do. The peace that comes from living gospel principles is an essential part of my life. While life can be hard at times, knowing that I am a Child of God and that my Savior and my Heavenly Father both love me, no matter what I do, brings me peace and comfort. I am so grateful that the Lord provides us with a living prophet who leads us through this life and prepares us for life hereafter. Most of all, I am grateful to Jesus Christ for coming to this earth and atoning for my sins.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Director of Public Affairs for my Stake and I also serve as a Visiting Teacher and enjoy meeting with my cute sisters each and every month. I am also a Merit Badge Counselor in Journalsim and Citizenship in the Community for our local Boy Scouts. One of my favorite church callings was working with the youth of the church in the Young Women's Presidency. Seeing what our youth have to go through each day is humbling and amazing. They are stronger and brighter than I ever was as a teen. I am heavily involved in my community currently serving as President of our local Chamber of Commerce. I also am Public Relations Chair for Relay for Life and my town's annual festival, Aquafest, which brings in over 30,000 people each summer.
