Hi I'm Blaine

I'm a husband, father, and a scientist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of four - two daughters in college and two sons in high school. I'm a scientist in the solar energy industry. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and enjoy outdoor activities - especially running, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and river rafting. I also enjoy reading and family history research.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned as a teen-ager that God answers prayers. I prayed often and received the confirmation that the church of Jesus Christ was again established on the earth, that men have been called as prophets in our day, and that the word of God can be found in modern-day scriptures as well as in the Bible. These truths have brought me much peace and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

As a family we gather daily to pray together and read the scriptures - usually the New Testament or the Book of Mormon. This teaches us to come closer to Jesus Christ. We try to follow His example in reaching out to others and help where we can. A favorite verse of scripture teaches us that when we are in the service of our fellow beings we are only in the service of our God. We also gather once a week for a family home evening where we have the opportunity for some fun family activities together. These things have all helped us stay close as a family and to incorporate the teachings of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.
