Hi I'm Claire

I am a mother of 7 great kids. I enjoy photography and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time mom and I love my job! I love my husband and children very much. Along with our schedule of homework, soccer practice, music lessons, scout activities, etc, it is important to me to teach my children the things that will make them happy and help them grow to become great people. I teach them values such as honesty, kindness, service to others and hard work. I enjoy reading, scrap booking, photography, gardening and horseback riding, when I get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it is the true church of Jesus Christ. It is after the manner He directed when He organized His church in Jerusalem--with prophets and apostles. The church teaches His doctrine and His gospel with His Priesthood authority. It contains all the ordinances needed to return to our Heavenly Father and our Savior's presence after this life. The teachings of Christ through His church make me happy. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I am his child. I know I can return to live with Him again after this life if I keep His commandments. I know Jesus Christ suffered for our sins and made it possible for us to be able to repent and be forgiven. He gave us the gift of eternal life through His death and resurrection. He wants us to be happy and that is why He has given us the gospel--to know why we are here on the earth and what we are to do to have joy in this life and for eternity. I know we have a prophet today who speaks with the Lord and tells us His will, and scriptures written by prophets of old to lead and direct us. I know this is Christ's church because the Holy Ghost has witnessed it to me in my mind and heart. My family and I have lived the teachings of the church and are happy because of it.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the church for many years and have had opportunities to serve others. I have been able to teach the children the gospel of Jesus Christ, which I love doing. I have been able to visit women in their homes to share a message about the gospel with them, be their friend and help them in whatever way they have needed. I have been able to take meals to families during difficult times. I have been on committees to plan activities and have had many other opportunities to learn and serve. Currently, I help with the women's organization of the church doing secretarial work--setting up visits, planning activities and helping them however I can.
