Hi I'm Kelly

I live in Colorado and I am the oldest of a large family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well a little about me... I was born in Utah and moved to Colorado when I was 6. I lived there until my Dad got a temporary position in South Korea. That was quite an experience and in the process my family adopted two Korean girls. When the assignment was over we returned back to Colorado again. When I was 17 we all moved to Arizona and 13 years later I returned with my own family to Colorado. I have a wonderful wife and three kids. I received my undergraduate degree in Marketing and later received an MBA. I work in the financial services industry as a financial advisor. Some of my hobbies are playing sports, cooking, riding our family dirt bike and spending time with my family. I unfortunately have an interest in politics which causes nothing but stress it seems. I also like learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. All in all I would say I'm an average Joe who is trying to navigate this crazy world with Christ as my anchor.

Why I am a Mormon

I want to be as simple as I can with this answer while not trying to offend. I'm a Mormon because I know that God has restored his church to the Earth and that church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or the Mormon church. I had to be converted like any one else to it's truthfulness. It wasn't information or an influential leader that brought me to this conclusion. It was the only thing that can let you know that his church is again on the Earth and that is the Holy Spirit confirming to me that this church is true. The Book of Mormon is an ancient set of scripture that details the history of an ancient people on the American continent and is just a piece of the puzzle that also lead me to know that this is the true church of God. I implore anyone and everyone to investigate this knowledge for themselves with a warning to only go to pure sources for this information. When one wants the truth they go to the source and not a party that does not have an affiliation or may have an alternative motive in mind. I wish to end by saying I know that this church is the one and true church and that the only way to find this out for yourself is to ask God for yourself after learning of the church's doctrine and principles.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by abstaining from coffee, tea, alcohol, and illicit drugs. I keep the law of chastity and do not look at pornographic material. I treat my wife and children with respect and live my life as my Lord and Savior would have me. Does this mean I am perfect, no but if I follow and obey these major principles I know I can overcome my shortcomings. Why do I do these things? Because my savior has asked me to and it brings the most happiness. It is not easy and life always throws you curves but with the gospel of Jesus Christ I am equipped with the knowledge that I can overcome and prosper with his help and his help alone. I live my faith as a Mormon because I know that this church is true.
