Hi I'm Bradley

Growing up as a member of the church, I never really believed in any of it. Now, I'm a firm believer.

About Me

I grew up about 15 miles north of Seattle, WA. I attended school just like any other child around. I grew up going to church each sunday. In my teenage years I went whether I wanted to wake up or not, though this changed as I matured and changed my desires and my character. Several months after I turned 19 I decided to serve as a missionary for 2 years. I was called to serve in the Georgia Macon Mission, an area known to be part of the Bible belt. While on my misison I learned to love the Bible. I loved teaching the Gospel it held. After returning from my mission, I started studying Computer Science at Edmonds Community College where I studied for 2 and a half years. After this I transferred to Brigham Young University Idaho to continue my studies in Computer Science and I'm currently a senior there. I love the challenges that come from being a member of the LDS faith. I enjoy when people challenge my beliefs, because those challenges task me with being prepared for what life throws my way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, and baptised when I was 8. Through my highschool years church didn't matter much to me. It wasn't until I served a mission for my church that I began to realize how wonderful the church is. Looking back, I can't really say for sure why I decided to serve a mission. Nobody made me go. It was my choice, and somehow I made the choice to serve for 2 years. As a missionary I learned to work hard and overcame a great deal of the shyness I had before I left I really can't pinpoint a time at which I decided to be a faithful member of the church. There was no epiphany or great spiritual moment that caused me to have a firm testimony. My testimony grew over time, and became truly strong as I served my mission. The restored Gospel changed my life a lot as I accepted its teachings and made necessary changes to put my life in alignment with it. I'm a much better person because of it. Why do I share the Gospel? Because it is the solution to every problem in the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each week, and attending monday night Home Evenings with my congregation. It is my personal desire to attend church. Nobody wakes me up and make sure that I get ready. Nobody shoves me in the back seat of a car and drives me to church. It is my sincere and personal desire to attend church. I go because I want to. I obey God's commandment because I want to. As I write this statement, I'm actually living with a family that is not LDS. They would not care if I didn't go to church, or read my scriptures, or pray. It's all up to me. For fun I enjoy watching various videos online, I play good video games when I can spare the time, and I love to be with my friends. I oftentimes enjoy hanging out with my non LDS friends moreso that my LDS friends because of the challenges it presents. When something comes up that is against my faith, I love taking the opportunity to explain why I don't do those things. I don't have this opportunity with those of my faith.
