Hi I'm Kami

I am a mother of 4 girls. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 girls who keep me very busy. I am an identical twin and yes I also married an identical twin. I am married to the best guy ever...in my opinion=] I love to be creative, even when it comes to chore charts and mundane things. I like to make cards, sew a little, paint a little, make jewelry and learn how to make new things. I like to volunteer in my girls' school. And I love to read. I should have a masters degree in laundry because I can get any stain out. I have the best sisters in the world and I love to hang out with them. I like to make desserts...dinner, not so much. I like to organize too. I wish I could sing, not fantastic, just in key and not so pitchy.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the church when my twin and I were about 2 years old so I pretty much grew up LDS. I didn't find out for myself it was true until I was about 13 years old. I decided to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. Although I didn't understand much that first time, I felt the Spirit so strong telling me it was true. As I continued to read and grow up, I felt the Spirit guide my life. As a youth I would constantly feel the whisperings of the Holy Ghost telling me to do and not do things. I tired to follow those promtings. I know Christ lives and knows me personally. That relationship means everything to me. He is part of my daily life as I read His words and pray. The atonement is real and is all encompasing. What a gift! I use it often. I know Joseph Smith restored this church and was a prophet of God. I love him and am thankful for his and Emma's sacrifice. The Book of Mormon is true. I gain so much strength from its pages to do what's right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures and praying daily. We also have family prayer and family home evening where our family gathers to learn more about the gospel. It is not always easy, but we do our best. In my church I have served in many positions. I am currently president over the women of our ward. I work with other women to organize Sunday meetings and other events. We put together classes to help the women learn new skills as well as just enjoy each other's company. I work with women who are amazing!
