Hi I'm Sheldon

I was raised on a farm in a small community and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the husband of of a wonderful wife and the father of five grown and married children. Raising children has be a great blessing and challenge in our lives. My wife of forty years and I were raised mormons. We have rasied our children has mormons. Three of our children are active in the church and raising our grand children as memebers of the church. Two of are children along with their spouses are not currently practicing members of the church. My family has been the center of my life. I have tried to be involved in my childrens lives as they have particapted in sports, music and many other activities. I am a CPA and controller for a fertilizer manufacturing company.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has been a wonderful blessing to us in raising our family. The chruch is a strong advocate of the family and has many resourses that helped us in the raising of our children. The church teaches a wonderful way of life free from many of the ill's and addictions of the world. All these things have been a great blessing recieved as a member of the chruch. However, the real reason I am a member of the church is because I know through the witeness of the spirit that Jesus Christ lives that he along with our Heavenly Father loves each of his children very much. As I have studied the Bible and the Book for Mormon I have come to know that they witness of Jesus Christ. That the things they teach us about the Savoir did happen. That they are not just stories. He did heal the sick, raise the dead, forgive the sinner, was resurrected and taught the way to return back to our heavenly home after this mortal experice. I know that the Savior did restore his Gospel in its fullness through the proghet Joseph Smith as he said he would in the scriptures. I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God from ancient records of a people living on the American continent. I know all of this through prayer, study of the scriptures and the witness of the Holy Ghost. What a wonder feeling to know where we came from, why we are here and where we go after this life. We all have a purpose for being here.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving my family and treating each one with respect whether I approve of some of the coices they make or not. I try to live my life so that others will respect me for who I am and not for what I may have accomplished in life. I try to live as the Savior would have me live. I serve others in many volunteer capacities in a way that I think the Savior would have me do. It is a wonderful very fullfilling way to live life.
