Hi I'm Amber

I love skiing, spending time out doors, I play the Bassoon, love spending time with friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 18 years old, born and raised in the North West. I love spending time doing things I love with people I love. I love music. I play the piano, bassoon, and I sing. I am starting college pretty soon and I can't wait! I wish I was there already!!! I'm not sure what I want to do yet, but I'm hoping I can do something where I get to be with people making their lives a little bit better. I have three little brothers and a little sister, and they mean the world to me. I love being myself, and enjoying what ever life has me doing at the moment

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but I can assure you, that's not the reason I'm a member of the church today. I believe that once you understand what the church is about and what the people in it stand for there is no way you could deny it. The more I learn about the church the more awesome I know it is! It's the very same church that Christ put together when he was on the earth, with temples, prophets, communication with the Lord, and the authority and power of God. I can share anything with my savior, and I know he listens and cares about me. When ever I have a question, I can get an answer. When ever I'm sad, I can get his comfort. The feelings I get when I am doing the right thing compare to nothing else. Working to be a better person, and following the council given in the scriptures and from modern day prophets gives a lasting happiness that can't be found anywhere else.

How I live my faith

Currently, I teach a lesson once a month during church when we break off into the final class of our Sunday meetings called Relief Society, where all of the other women who meet at the same time and place as me meet. The lessons I get the chance to teach are so awesome! There always all about being our best self. The first lesson I taught was about talents. I was so nervous, I am much younger than most of the other women who where going to be in my class, and I was afraid that they wouldn't be interested in listening and participating in my lessons. I thought they would feel like their were being taught by a baby, but I have discovered that was a false assumption. I feel so good when I'm preparing my lessons and teaching others what the Lord wants them to hear. I know that I learn from teaching them, and the Lord uses me as a tool to deliver a message that he wants the Holy Spirit to teach the women in my class.
