Hi I'm Tim Runyon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my lovely wife Sarah for 10 years but we do not have any children. I work as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting. I enjoy fly fishing, hiking, and golf. My favorite sports are wrestling and hockey; I wrestled in college but never played hockey. I was born and raised in the church. As for my mission, I was called to serve in Sendai Japan. After 6 months over in Japan I became ill, and after coming home to recover was assigned to the Birmingham Alabama mission. I was able to finish my mission and am very thankful for the opportunity to serve in such a capactiy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that this is the Lord's true church. My mission really helped me to understand what we believe and why we believe it. When I learned about other's beliefs, I gained an appreciation for them but found that they just did not line up with the things I know and believe about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Son of God, that Heavenly Father is our father, that the Lord's true church was lost through apostasy but restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as are the Bible, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, and that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I have the great opportunity to work with the youth, primarily the young men. I serve as the assistant scout master and the second counselor in the young men's presidency.
