Hi I'm Kent

Went to College in Wichita Ks! I LOVE the building and development of both people and things! Now a Realtor® I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in a small town in Idaho I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life. I was raised an only child except for my older Sister and my 5 older Brothers. My Father taught me the principles of hard work and generosity. Although small in stature he was a great man in principle. My wife of 37 years, who I truly Love and Adore, and I have raised 5 Sons and enjoy 12 grandchildren (all girls except for 11). My daughters-in-law are truly wonderful Women. I really enjoy spending time with the grandchildren and watching them grow and develop. The computer is a foreign language to me and I wish I could speak it fluently. I believe in God and the principle of Free Agency. I don't believe in a Welfare State and I do believe that people should do everything possible to provide for themselves and their families and to help those who truly cannot provide for themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Like most everyone, I had to find out for myself whether or not the teachings were true. There was never a great revelatory experience or a dream which came to me in the night. Throughout my life I have experienced many "tender mercies" which have enlightened me to the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of these experiences have come to me by the Holy Spirit by participation in the normal operations of the Church. Such experiences include giving Father's Blessing and Blessings for the healing of the sick, participation in the ordinances of the Sacrament, Priesthood, and the Temple, hearing the testimonies of others and my bearing testimony of my experiences to others, but most of all from the processes of prayer and scripture study and asking. I know from personal experience that the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ is real and it is now and for everyone.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the Church over the years. What I have come to realize is how much I have benefitted from the different callings I have had. I have worked with many wonderful people who have sacrificed and dedicated their time and efforts to fulfilling their callings. I have learned from them how important it is to serve others and how we can benefit by receiving blessings by doing so. I know I have gained much more from serving in the church than those I have tried to serve. I have gained great blessings in areas of communication, leadership, patience, obedience, and love through the opportunities and experience of serving in the callings of the church. Some of my most favorite callings have been in serving over the Youth. I really believe the youth of today were sent to the earth at this time to fulfill a special purpose. They are faced with tremendous temptations and pressure and many are exceptional people and able to withstand the evil influences around them. I have come to know that it is through the principles and ordinances of the gospel that we will be able to return to live with our Father in Heaven again.
