Hi I'm Sarah

I'm going back to school after 7 years. I love to read, bake, and watch movies. I want to be a zoo keeper. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for 6 years. He is going to school to be a pharmacist and I am just starting school to be a zoo keeper. I work at Chili's and also at Hallmark and I really enjoy both. In my free time I love to decorate cakes, bake, and sometimes get a little creative with dinner. Matt and I love to watch movies together! I can also get pretty into a good book, which happens quite often. We love animals, Rock Band nights, and look forward to one day being parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but I don't think that's why I'm Mormon. As I grew up I faced my own challenges of trying to fit in and figuring out who I was. Nothing made me as happy as being a member of the Mormon church did. I remember a time when I went to Palo Duro Canyon in the panhandle of Texas. The youth were doing a service project and field trip day down there. There were a lot of talks on the worth of souls. I remember looking at this gorgeous canyon and beautiful sky and thinking "Heavenly Father thinks I'm more beautiful then this." I knew that Heavenly Father loved me. As I continued to grow older every question I had the Church could answer. Every problem I had the Church could help. I have never doubted or reconsidered my membership.

How I live my faith

I mostly live my faith through example. At both my jobs there aren't really any other Mormons and I feel I have a responsibility to show the church's standards. I always try to dress, act, and speak appropriately, even if I have less friends because of it. At church I am a leader in Young Women's. I help the girls with their Personal Progress. That is an achievement program designed to help the girls gain a testimony of Christ and to live righteous lives. I love helping the girl's do this because I want to be able to help them grow, but also because it helps me grow.
