Hi I'm Anna

I grew up in a small town. I am a Biology major. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! First off, I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. That tv show is good! Second, I like art. Specifically, I like doodling all over my class notes at college, doodling on my computer, and looking at good art. I like drawing dragons, other mythical creatures, birds, and ponies. :) I also like papercraft. This hobby is good because I am able to take a few sheets of paper, cut out pieces of them, and put them together in a 3-dimensional structure. Third, I am going to college. I am in the Biology program at my college. It took a while for me to decide what major I wanted to do. I chose biology because I love science and because I cannot easily do math. Fourth, I like video games. I like the family-friendly variety over the first-person shooters. I like the Legend of Zelda series from Ocarina of Time up, Kingdom Hearts, and other clean, non-gory action/adventure games. I was married January 2011, which is amazing and interesting at the same time. I am happy that things have worked out the way they have. I'm just an average person, going to an average college, getting an average degree, but I belong to (in my opinion) the most amazing church here on Earth!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of three reasons: I was born into this church, I haven't found any other religion that I want to change to, and I've had too many spiritual experiences to deny that this church is true. I love the community that I have here, with all of my Mormon friends. I am happy here. Many things have happened in my life that could have made me not the person I am today. I am sure you have had many, too. By relying on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ I have pulled through and become the person I am today. Though I have had hardships I have grown from each experience. I am grateful to those that have helped me, and especially to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I participate in Church callings when I am asked to help out. Right now, I am serving as a Wolf Den Cub Scout leader, which is a blast! The eight-year-old scouts are hilarious!

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Those married in the Church treat each other as equals. Both man and woman have different responsibilities, but these are in no way what their only role is. The man is the main source of income, and the woman is the primary caretaker of any children they may have. The man does hold the Priesthood, but that in no way makes him more important than the woman. Mormon women are kind, caring people that like to help others. They are full of compassion and service. Everyone has a different kind of personality, which adds variety to church meetings. Show more Show less
