Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a talker. I laugh at my own jokes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a super senior, which means I've been in school for more than 4 years. Some of us just move slowly ;) My four siblings and I were raised by our single father. He is a rock and my best friend. I love to make books and thrift shop. Each day I learn more about the boundless power of God's love for every living soul. I am the product of faith, opportunities, and love. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my childhood was fully dependent on the Lord. I'll never forget the righteous example my father set. His actions instilled in me a sound confidence of God's existence. I walked and talked with God just like my father did. My personal relationships with Heavenly Father and with his son, Jesus Christ, are what calm my soul. I'm a Mormon because I feel a witness that Christ is leading this Church. I've felt an undeniable connection to Heaven as I've sincerely sought guidance or comfort through priesthood blessings. I feel a similar feeling when I pray and talk openly to God about my life and my concerns. I'm a Mormon because I can take my questions directly to God and he answers them. Few people understand that prayer is a two-way communication. I know it is. As I take the time to ponder and listen during and after prayer, I get the answers I'm seeking. These answers are paired with a spiritual witness. For me, it's a lasting peace I can't find anywhere else. I'm a Mormon because there are miracles all around me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily feeding my spirit: In prayer, it's a chaotic world and prayer is a refuge where I know I'll be completely understood and fully loved. In studying the scriptures, they are filled with evidence that God keeps his promises. They also show that subjecting myself to God's commandments can set me free. In recognizing God's hand in my life, a grateful attitude fills my life with joy.
