Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a grandmother. I'm a librarian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an author and a member of a creative writers group. I enjoy playing and composing music also. I completed my college education through distance learning so I could fit my studies into my family life. Now my children are grown and have children of their own. My husband and I enjoy visiting the little ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the LDS church. I have met many good people in the church who are bright and intelligent. I admire them so much! I keep my body healthy and my thoughts pure because I believe that it helps me be the best I can be. I make mistakes, but I know that because of the atonement I can repent and learn from them.

How I live my faith

I am fortunate to work in a service profession. I am a librarian. At the library I meet many people who need help. Some are looking for employment, others need to research health issues, and some are young parents who want support as they raise their families. I follow the Savior by serving others, whether at work or at home with my family. I feel good when I serve others.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

People are naturally flawed. It is OK, because by making mistakes we learn and grow. But we cannot return to our Father in Heaven with all of those faults and blemishes. That is why we need the atonement of Jesus Christ. By the grace of Jesus Christ we are given the opportunity to repent. By grace we are prepared to live with God again. Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father, our savior. He believes in us, believes we can become like him. If we believe in Christ, we must trust that his grace can perfect us. Show more Show less
