Hi I'm Shirley.

I'm a Grandmother, an ex-realtor, a nurse, and I'm a happy Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happily married retired woman. I love golf, animals, and my special favorite is spending time with my grandchildren. I love to give back and help people in the community and in the Church. I am now the compassionate sister for the congregation. I have worked with hospice as a voluteer and spend a lot of time helping my parents and my husband's parents. I have two daughters and four grandchildren, and I had one son who passed away twentyone years ago. I have been married thirteen years to a wonderful man and we have a little dog named Lehi. We got married in the Temple last year. The Church is now a very important part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church approximately thirtyfive years ago with my first marriage. When my marriage ended I became inactive, through no fault of the Church. I remained inactive for approximately twentytwo years. During that time my life deteriorated. After my son's death I started looking for answers to help me find peace of mind. When I got remarried my new husband and I started going to the Church. Five years ago he got baptized and since then we have also gone to the Temple and been sealed for time and all eternity. I know that my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has changed our lives in a wonderful and joyous way. I am grateful to have the fellowship of the church members and a living prophet to guide us today. I now have peace of mind knowing that I will see my son and be with my family in Heaven someday. I now know that my husband and children will be together for all time and eternity.

How I live my faith

I am now the compassionate sister in my church. I organize cookies for the soup kitchen weekly. I organize rides for the elderly. I make sure that anyone that is sick or has had a death in the family receives meals or homecare. I am a visiting teacher and I am a community volunteer.
