Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a speech pathologist, and I love baseball! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I just recently finished graduate school and just started my new job. I am finding out that the "real" world isn't so bad. I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist. I love reading and music. I love watching baseball and playing softball. Going to the movies is one of my favorite pastimes. This summer I walked El Camino De Santiago, a 500 mile (800 Km) pilgrimage across Spain. It was one of the hardest, most fun, and amazing experiences of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I wish that I was a wonderful writer, so that I could find the right words to explain why I am a Mormon. The easiest way I can put it is, it makes me happy. I choose to be Mormon because I find happiness in this church, in its teachings, in its morals, in the people. I'm a Mormon because this gospel gives me so much hope. I know that no matter what happens in this life that Heavenly Father is keenly aware of me. He knows me personally and loves me individually. He has a plan for me and part of that plan includes being together forever as families. What greater blessing could I ask for?

How I live my faith

I am part of a unique ward, or congregation. My whole congregation is made up of single adults between the ages of 18 and 30. We have such a good time, and I have one of the most fun jobs of anyone, at least if you ask me! I get to help plan all of our non-Sunday events. As single adults we like to get together and have a lot of fun. Here are a few examples of some of the fun activities we do: camping, lake trips, talent shows, pool parties, Christmas extravaganzas, and rodeos. While we love to have fun, we also want to show our gratitude and love for our Savior by serving others. Mingled in with our fun activities we also mix in service projects such as canned food drives, community clean up projects, and relief packages for those in need. It is so much fun and actually very rewarding!
