Hi I'm Tanya

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have lived in Arizona, USA, my whole life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a large family of eight children. My parents have been married for over 50 years. I am married and we had 5 children . Then we were blessed to adopt 4 more children, making for a very crowded home. My mother taught me to love learning when I was very young and i am always striving to increase my abilities.I thoroughly enjoy learning new talents especially ones that can bring joy to others, such as baking, sewing , crocheting , every kind of needle work, upholstering, etc. I am a mother to both grown children and young children still at home so my days are very busy and never dull.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in a Mormon family I did not grow up blindly following along.I was taught that you could not go through life on a borrowed testimony. You had to gain one for your self. Growing up, I always wanted my own testimony , one that would be undeniable. Because of this, when I was a teenager I studied and Pondered the book of Mormon, I have Prayed, earnestly so that I could obtain my own Testimony of its truthfulness. I know that we have a living Prophet of God here upon the earth that leads and guides us today. I know that my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, love me, they care about me and they want me to be happy.I know that Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins. He died for us and that he was resurrected and If we obey his teachings we can return to live with him. I am ever grateful to our Father in Heaven for allowing us to seek after him so that we each can receive a testimony for ourselves. Being a parent can be very stressful and challenging at times and I know that our Father in Heaven is always there waiting and wanting to help us.

How I live my faith

I have always believed that to truly be happy you have to help other people. I am not good at organizing huge charity events. It is just not my thing . But I do offer help at my Children 's school. I teach five year old children, in church, every Sunday and when I hear of a Charity event in which I could serve, I sign up. If someone asks me to donate food or clothing or my time, I always find time to give back.Turning down opportunities to help is just not an option.I have sewn numerous quilts and emergency back packs for foster care. I always get back more than I give.
