Hi I'm Lindsay

I live in Arizona. I have a husband and two daughters. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and love living here. Before going to college I was an honor student, an athlete, and a singer. After a year of college, I got married in the Mesa, AZ temple. My husband and I were full-time students and workers until about a year later when we had our first baby. It was tricky, but we both felt it was important for us to both finish school, so we worked hard to make that happen. We both graduated from Arizona State University on the same day. My major was Secondary Education- English. After graduating, we were both offered jobs, but we decided that it would be best for me to stay at home full time with our daughter. Shortly after that, we were blessed with another baby girl. I enjoy reading (by myself and with my daughters), fitness, baking, going on dates with my husband, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a "Mormon" home and was baptized when I was 8 years old. I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. One aspect of the gospel that I love is the Plan of Salvation. I feel so much joy and comfort knowing that because my husband and I have been sealed in the temple by priesthood authority, we have the opportunity to live together with our children forever. This knowledge is one reason why I love being a member of this church. Knowing that our family can be eternal helps give me perspective and guides my choices as a wife and mother. I try to nurture our family relationships as much as possible by being kind and patient and thinking more of my husband and children's needs than my own. I'm thankful to belong to a church that holds motherhood in high regard, even though the world may not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church on Sundays, serving in my callings (currently I am the pianist for our choir), teaching my children from the sciptures, and paying tithing. Most importantly, I try to look for ways to help other people and treat them how Christ would if He were here on Earth. Attending my church meetings and reading from the scriptures and church magazines inspires me to be humble and willing to serve, even if it doesn't come easily or is inconvenient.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We don't worship Joseph Smith, but we do love and respect him. He sacrificed his life so that we could have Christ's church restored on the earth that is something precious to me, so I am deeply grateful to Joseph Smith for what he did. Show more Show less
