Hi I'm Ken

I'm married, with 3 children, two still living. I've been in law enforcement for 23 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are bereaved parents. We tell people we have 3 children, with one already with God. 23 years ago we were crossing a street when a car failed to stop at a traffic signal and struck our 1st boy in his stroller. He died a week later. When we are saddened by our son's passing, we find great peace in our faith in our Savior and his love for us. I am a detective with a local police department. For the last 10 years of my 23 years in law enforcement I have been investigating financial crimes, including identity theft, forgeries, and various forms of fraud. I find great pleasure though in gardening and hiking, which help me take my mind away from the challenges of police work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 5TH generation Mormon. My ancestors gave up their homes in England and then came to America to be part of the Mormon settlement in Utah. As a result of their great faith, I continue to share my love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, to others I know.

How I live my faith

Being that I have two ancestors who wrote hymns that are included in the LDS hymnal, I enjoy participating in the church choir. I also have been able to live my faith in singing in the local police choir.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

My faith in Jesus Christ has helped my wife and I to overcome the challenges we have experienced in the loss of our son. Our faith in our Savior has brought great joy in our over 27 years of our marriage. Show more Show less
