Hi I'm Alex

i love my husband. i love to do hair. i love to do art & i love this gospel so very much.

About Me

i am a full-time hairstylist, a wife to an amazing man, and a lover of Nebraska. i was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, i was fortunate enough to go on a mission to Nebraska, Omaha where i taught and testified of Jesus Christ for 18 months. it truly was some of the greatest 18 months of my life, and i still love and miss it. being a missionary for our Savior, Jesus Christ, is one of the greatest callings He has embarked upon us all. i have worked for AFY- Adventures For Youth, for 2 years now and there is where i met my husband, my best friend. we were married for time and all eternity in the Manti, UT Temple. i love being outdoors- especially rock climbing, ice climbing and camping. i love dark chocolate. i love my family, so much. i love to do motivational speaking for young women all around to help them see what TRUE beauty is, and what a loving Father in Heaven sees in them. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I, Alex Kavanaugh, a Mormon? I don't think I have ever been asked that before... well, there are MANY reasons. I don't think I have room on here to name them all. But, I am a Mormon because I know my Savior. I know Him personally and I know that His church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was restored on this earth today. By a prophet Joseph Smith. I KNOW that there is no greater joy in this life then through this Gospel of Jesus Christ and the change that occurs in us when we begin to have faith in Him and believe His teachings. I KNOW that the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, is true. And that by reading it every day, it will change your life and you will find all the answers you are seeking to find. This Gospel is happiness-- and I am happy because of it. I am a Mormon by choice, and I choose and will forever choose my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

i live my faith each and every day by obedience. I know and firmly believe and as we are obedient to what our Father in Heaven has asked us to do- we will see miracles within our lives, and we will be an instrument in the hands of Him. Living by faith is praying, reading, fasting and obeying the commandments... but it is also so much more than that. Living by faith is repenting, serving, loving, lifting, supporting, encouraging and living as Christ taught us to live. Living by faith is being Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost by one who holds the authority of God. And what is so special about that? Is that every Sabbath Day, we can go to Church and worship Him and renew those covenants and promises we have made with Him through the Sacrament. It it by faith, and through faith, that we can come unto Christ and live with Him again.
