Hi I'm Jon Clare

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho. I am a Horticulturist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had the great blessing of growing up in the Church with parents who loved me and taught me correct principles. I served the Lord for 2 years in Cape Town, South Africa and I am now studying Horticulture at BYU-Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I had incredible parents who taught me daily by word and example what it meant to be a Mormon. I centered my faith on their testimonies until there came the time for me to know for myself. I developed a testimony of the gospel through sincere prayer and study. I learned for myself that Joseph smith is a prophet, that the savior lives and the atonement covers all of our sins and mistakes. Because I know these things and because of my favorable childhood, I am a Mormon. I Know that it is right and that the Lord blesses me because I choose to live in the faith.

How I live my faith

Love. I have learned that the best way to exemplify my faith is to share my love with friends, family, and even complete strangers. I know that all of us are sons and daughters of God. I want to be like the Savior, and so I do the best that I can and seek to love and serve those who the Lord puts in my path. I seek also to find those that are struggling and uplift them. By so doing I feel I am uplifted by the Lord.
