Hi I'm Jared

I'm from Mesa, Arizona. I love my family and friends. I love technology and music. I'm a South Carolina missionary & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is HUGE and I wouldn't have it any other way! I've been an uncle since I was 7 years old and I'm really close with all of my nieces and nephews. Kids are some of my favorite people. I am a violinist, pianist, and singer. Music is one of the most important parts of my life and I don't know who I'd be without it. I've played the violin for 12 years now and I've taught myself how to play the piano over the past 4-5 years. I love all kinds of gadgets and I love to learn about all the new technology that comes out.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a Mormon but I wasn't always as commited to live the Gospel as I am now. I went through a time in my life where I struggled to know if the church was true and if it was right for me. I was kind of a "window-shopping" mormon... I only wanted to follow the things that I felt were absolutley neccessary and I was very good at hiding my struggle. Little did I know or realize, but I needed a change... a change of lifestyle or a change of scenery, if you will. I just needed to be at a place in my life that would force me to be out of my comfort zone because I was simply too comfortable in the frame of mind I was in. However, when my family moved from where we were to where we are now I found some of the most amazing people I've ever met and they changed my life forever! Everything they did made me want to be a better person and as I made changes in my life, I came to realize how true the Gospel really is and how much happiness it really does bring to my life and to the lives of the people I love so much! I am now on a mission. I spend all of my time out of my comfort zone. It's hard and scary sometimes but there's nowhere else I'd rather be. It helps me to truly rely on the help of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because I can't do this alone. I'm simply not strong enough. But I know that "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Phillipians 4:13)

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission. I get to spend all day every day telling everyone around me how happy this Gospel has made me and also how happy they can be if they will only gain a testimony of it through prayer and reading and having a desire to know if it's true. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it has been a true blessing in my life. I love the chance that I have right now to share it with everyone around me!
