Hi I'm Curtis

I love- My family, My sports and Life, I'm a Momma's boy, They call me "Elder", and I LOVE BEING A MORMON.

About Me

Born and raised in Utah. I enjoy the competitive nature of sports (which is not always a good thing). I grew up wrestling and playing basketball. I have learned to really enjoy running and working out. I am a huge NCAA fan, love everything about college sports. I could talk about sports all day, but shouldn't because I'm on a mission:) I love my family very much!! I have an older brother, who is married to a wonderful woman, and together they have a baby boy, I love being an uncle!! I also have older and younger sisters who are great!! They love to pick on me haha. My Mother and Father are the best; I love them because the way they have helped me without telling me or forcing me but allowing me to use my God given agency! I am not sure what I did to deserve such a wonderful family but I try my best to count that blessing daily. I also have a really lazy and fat dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ. I am serving in the South and have been asked many times at what point in my life did I "accept" Jesus Christ. I have always, even from a very young age "accepted" Jesus Christ. After high school I went to college, during this time I really learned what made me happy and I also gained a stronger testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. My conversion wasn't anything grand yet I hold it close to me, because it was for me. As I read from The Book of Mormon I feel the Spirit very strong. The Spirit has testified personally to me many times about the Book of Mormon and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, that is how I have found truth. Every time I feel the Spirit it makes me want to be better. I also knew through the Spirit that serving a full time mission was what the Lord wanted me to do. I am always trying to build upon the testimony I already have. The Scriptures are sacred, they are revelations given to man from God. However, I have learned that personal revelation and learning is also important. Is all it takes is pure intentions, a strong desire, the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost. Try it out!

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving in South Carolina as a full time missionary! It has been an adventure thus far and I love every second of it! I live my faith by inviting souls to draw closer to our Savior Jesus Christ and helping people develop a relationship with our Father in Heaven. I live my faith by Praying, studying the Scriptures and attending church services. I do my best to be an example to others, not only through the things I say but mainly the things I do. We must change ourselves especially when we invite others to change. I set goals to "Put off my Natural Man" and become more like Jesus Christ. I have many, many weakness but I understand and know that Jesus Christ is infinite and through Him I can overcome these weaknesses. Striving to live the gospel of Jesus Christ is not always easy but that is how I have found peace which makes it all worth it.
