Hi I'm Kevin

I am a husband of one, father of two, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town of no more than 200 people. I enjoy camping and being in the mountains. I have recently finished a master's degree in electrical engineering and am having fun not being in school anymore. I have been married since 2007 and have a daughter and one on the way. I enjoy most all sports, baseball being my favorite.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this world is no coincidence. I believe in a Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who created it. The Bible and Book of Mormon are two independent witnesses of them. Through revelation, Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon less than 200 years ago. He was not well educated and could not have done it on his own. He was mocked, persecuted, and ultimately martyred at a young age because he claimed to be a prophet of God. I believe that there is no way that he would have let him and his family suffer that persecution if he did not know 100% that he truly was a prophet of God. I have read the Book of Mormon. What it contains strengthens my testimony of the reality of Jesus Christ. It offers a second witness to Him.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best person I can be. I have many faults, but because I have faith in God, I try to improve and overcome those faults. One of the most important things that I do is try to teach my kids how to be happy. I believe that the highest level of joy can only be obtained through knowing and keeping the commandments of God. There is nothing that he wants us to do that won't bring us joy.
