Hi I'm Jill

I grew up in Utah and Colorado. I'm an elementary school teacher and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary school teacher, currently substitute teaching in a variety of grade levels. I have a bachelor's degree from Southern Utah University. I have been happily married for 9 years. I enjoy reading, television, playing games with family and friends, and going for bike rides with my husband. I also like to cook and bake, as well as do crafts. I love to travel, especially to places of historical and cultural significance.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love what this church teaches me about who I am. It helps me to see myself from the perspective of a loving Heavenly Father. From a young age, I was taught that I'm a daughter of God, and that God knows me individually and he loves me as his child. He has provided me with a way to return to live with Him after this life through his Son Jesus Christ. As I live the way I'm taught I should live as a Mormon, I feel peace and joy, even in times of trial and pain.

How I live my faith

I am grateful for the opportunities being a Mormon gives me to serve and contribute within my congregation and community. I enjoy working with children, and I’m currently in charge of planning wholesome educational and recreational activities for the 8 and 9 year old girls twice a month. I also love the chance to develop friendships , through a program in our church that gives me women to spend time with each month. Some unlikely but amazing relationships have been in my life because of this. Being a Mormon also allows me many opportunities to do service in my community.
