Hi I'm Emily

I'm a single mom, a full time student, and love the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a two-year-old son. He is amazing and we have the most fun together. I am a full time student preparing to transfer into ASU's Nursing (BSN) program. I started dancing when I was three up until the birth of my son. I was a part of a company for many years that performed tap, jazz, and ballet. My favorite of the three was tap. I also played soccer and softball. At the age of twelve my red mountain little league team won state. I love being in nature and enjoy hiking, rock climbing and camping, so staying active is a big part of my life. I love to travel, experience new places, learn about different cultures, and eat all the different kinds of foods. I have lived in Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Hawaii, and currently live in Arizona. My favorite place I have visited so far is South Africa.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about whether or not it was true, and I received the answer in my heart that it was true. The Church and its gospel give me the greatest joy. I know my life has purpose and that I am a child of God. I am a better person, mother, daughter, and sister because the church teaches me to treat others with kindness and live a Christ-like life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by how I treat others. "Every soul is great in the sight of God," and every person is special and loved by the same Heavenly Father. I love to visit with the women in the church because it means so much to me having someone assigned to me to be aware of my needs, so I make sure that the women I am assigned to know that I am there for them; we are all in this together. I have found when I loose myself in service and in this gospel, my problems seem that much more miniscule and conquerable.
