Hi I'm Allen Carlson

Born are raised in Utah. I have lived there all my life but I love to travel. Sports are my way of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Soccer, basketball, skiing, FAMILY... Not much else besides that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I have a testimony that God exists and loves us. He gave us the Book of Mormon so we could learn more of His son Jesus Christ and the many prophets in the past that received revelation from God. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and he restored the Priesthood and Church of God on the earth, and also translated the Book of Mormon with the help from God. I know that through the atonement of Christ and ONLY through the mercy of God, we are able to overcome our sins and be perfected and life with our Heavenly Father again in His presense. I am a Mormon because God told me through the feelings of the Holy Ghost that the church was true and it is the way to be guided in this life to be on the path to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

Takin' it easy, serving a mission in the Colorado, Colorado Springs mission for two years trying to help others get the same blessings that I have and have in store in the future. Most importantly though is I have a full-size poster of Jimmer in my room.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Allen Carlson
We do not worship Joseph Smith in any way. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth after the death of Jesus Christ and his apostles. The reason that is so important is because after that event, there was no one on the earth who held the power and authority to act in God's name (like Moses or Abraham). Therefore, during his time as prophet on this earth, he was the one who established the church, lead and was a guide for other followers of Jesus Christ who wished to be part of that same gospel that Jesus Christ taught when he lived on the earth. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we are grateful that he was worthy throughout his life to be called of God to help us once again be able to be baptized by the proper authority. In all things we worship our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. We receive a confirmation that we are doing what we should by the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
