Hi I'm Chris

I'm a husband, father, software engineer, musician, liberal, lactivist, environmentalist, home-birth supporter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend most of my time with my wife and two daughters. We play together, garden together, enjoy performances together, cooking and eating together and many other fun activities. I'm a home schooling dad. I'm a liberal. I've done lots of different jobs - from being a chimney sweep to a software engineer. I am a musician and a lover of literature. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned as a young boy that God loves me, and that if I invited Him into my life, He would make Himself known to me. As a teenager, I attended a broadcast meeting where the president of the church was speaking. My heart was touched during that meeting, and the Holy Ghost testified to me that he was a prophet of God, just as Moses and Elijah before. Since then, I have tried to follow the counsel of church leaders, and have found that as I do, I am closer to my Heavenly Father, and I've found increased peace and joy in my life.

How I live my faith

The most important role I have in my life is in my family as a husband and father. I try to learn about my Father, to become more like him. I'm the organist in our congregation, which allows me to serve through sharing a talent I am trying to improve. This is a voluntary position which brings me great joy. I also try to be active in politics as much as I can with current commitments. I am an activist for many liberal and ecological causes. My faith has educated my political senses, and I differ from many I attend church with, yet I feel nothing but love from those I attend church with - even when we know that politically we differ so greatly.
