Hi I'm Cathy

I'm a wife and mother. I love rainy days. I love to eat Thai food! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, the mother of four children now in high school and college, and a mother-in-law. Family are the most important relationships to me, and that helps me set my priorities in life and put daily problems into perspective. Two of my children have type 1 diabetes, a challenge that I think has helped us learn and become more united as a family - a blessing in disguise.

Why I am a Mormon

Each of my parents joined the church before they were married. They taught it to their children and attended church with us. The time came I could say that I knew for myself that this was Jesus Christ's church, independent of what anyone else told me. I knew through the witness of the Holy Ghost in my heart - a feeling of peace and comfort and understanding that comes when truth is taught.

How I live my faith

My religion is not for Sundays only. It is part of my life every day. As a mother I try to teach my children that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them, and that they can find the answers they need to their problems through prayer and in the scriptures. In a changing world, my foundation is the unchanging love of God, knowing He has a plan for me, and I try to stay on the path that leads me back to Him.
