Hi I'm Tom Keller

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a computer programmer working for a financial company. I have 3 young children and have been married for over 22 year. Since getting married we have both returned to school for post graduate work and have owned 2 small businesses and have worked for major corporations. My hobbies include playing the guitar and drums, although not very well! I also have a wood working shop in my basements and enjoy building arts and crafts style furniture.

Why I am a Mormon

I met my wife in high school and at the time I was not Mormon (I was Methodist). Five years later, and after being exposed to her high values and morals and her wonderful example, I joined the church and we were married after we graduated from College. There are no other members of the Church in my family, but they all supported my decision to join. The Church’s emphasis on family was probably one of the keys to influencing my decision to join. After attending 6 months or so and reading the Book of Mormon, I realized that this we exactly what I wanted to be part of.

How I live my faith

I try to live the gospel each day. I do this by following the commandments and serving others, trying my best to be as much like Jesus Christ as possible. Like everyone I fall short, but I keep on trying. My family and I have family night every Monday where we have a short gospel lesson and they a fun activity and treats. As a family we read the scriptures together daily and we pray together daily. I’m currently serving as a Webelos leader and Sunday school teacher (16-17 year olds). These have both been great opportunities to server while being taught by these wonderful youth.
