Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, a Dad and a Grandpa, and I like to fish! Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my Dad taking my brother and me fishing, so I've done the same with my children and now the trips are including grandkids. Many family outings have happened around water and the fun memories are filling the pages of my life. I liked fishing and hunting so much that I became a wildlife biologist. Now that I am retired, being with my family is my number one priority.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a firm testimony that God and Jesus Christ, in fact, did appear to the boy Joseph Smith in 1820. With that conviction in my heart, everything else that followed is true and real to me. My dear Mother immigrated to the United States along with her family in 1929. Her faith in the gospel was such that she made sure that her oldest child (me) and all five that followed learned about the Savior and the restored gospel. My life experiences have solidified my testimony in the Savior. I know he leads his children today through a modern-day prophet. What more could one ask than to know that we have a Father in heaven who loves us will answer our prayers?

How I live my faith

Since I'm passed 60 years-of-age now, I would logically serve with the the older brothers and sisters in our ward. However, I have spent the past several years working with the Young Men's organization, helping the boys with scouting and being their friend. Additionally, I help look after the welfare of our ward members. There is work enough to do and I am not bored. I strive to be a faithful son of God, reaching out to others when I can and always trying to be a good example to my fellow men and women. My wife and I have received a call to serve a Military Relations Mission in Germany. We will work with U.S. service men and women who are members of our church at the Grafenwoehr Training Installation. I served a mission in my younger years as did four of our children. I'm excited to have my wife as my permanent missionary companion!
