Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a stay at home mom, I had 3 Homebirths, I have Trichotillomania, I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful man and a stay at home mom of 3 girls and 1 boy. I am 1/4 Japanese and try to teach my children about their ancestors and there heritage. Each of my kids have a Japanese name. I have Trichotillomania, OCD and Anxiety. I have struggled with these things every day, ever since I can remember. Just doing a simple task or something that seems easy to others can be very stressful and hard for me. Driving, making phone calls, shopping is hard, even going to church and leaving the house can be hard. My love for my Heavenly Father and my family help me to do hard things. I found I loved learning about Pregnancy, Birth and Midwifery. With reading, learning and prayer my husband and I decided to have Home Births with a Midwife with 3 of our kids. These Births were wonderful and sacred spiritual experiences. Being able to be in the comfort of my own home, where I could relax and feel Gods love was what I needed for less stress/anxiety births. I continue to learn and am interested in this, as well as Breastfeeding, Doula's, Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Nutrition. I like to listen to Audiobooks, Christmas music and for fun dance and sing along with the kids even though I am not good at it. Doing things as a family is so important, from work, to play, even struggles. I enjoy camping and being out it nature, going on dates with my husband, reading children's books with my kids, and going on walks or to the park with them, just the simple things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. My mom has shown me by example that having faith in Heavenly Father and in His son Jesus Christ is important. When I was 13 my parents got a divorce, I remember my mom gathering us to pray, read the scriptures, and eat together as a family every day, and going to church every Sunday. Even with all that was going on, my mom stayed strong and I know by doing these small things helped us kids transition better and to have our own testimonies of The church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I liked how this brought us together and made us more united and a loving family. Now that I have my own family I try and do these things with them as well. Our families are important. I know our Heavenly Father knows and loves each and every one of us and He created us, we are His children. I know He hears and answers our prayers, He has answered many of mine. Heavenly father has truly blessed me and my family, as I have strived to do His will and keep His commandments. I am grateful for the knowledge that when we die we can be with our loved ones again in heaven, that life does not end after we die. I have come to know these things for myself through prayer, and I am grateful for the peace and comfort I feel from our Heavenly Father, life can be hard and its wonderful to know that He is always there. I am learning that family, friends, and neighbors are truly some of the most important things in life, we need to serve and help each other on our journey back to our Heavenly Father. Every one has a story. We can ask others what their story is. I am grateful that Jesus Christ died for me and every one. I love our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ so much, and the Grace He gives us and with this love and Grace I know that I will be able to accomplish any thing that I am ever asked to do, even with my weaknesses and every day struggles with Trichotillamania, OCD and Anxiety.

How I live my faith

I try to take one day at a time, to be a better Daughter of God and to find what God whats me to do. I try and be a better wife and mother, to see the good in others, and see and be grateful for the blessings Heavenly Father has given me. I know I could not make it through each day without Heavenly Fathers help. I try each day to know how to serve my family and those around me more. I read my scriptures and pray. Having the spirit with me each day is so important so that I can resist temptations and do what God would have me do. I go to church each Sunday. I try to keep Gods commandments to show I love him by my actions and thoughts. When I sin or make a mistake I repent and try to better myself. I also serve in my church by visiting, and serving women from church each month. Doing this helps the church know what others needs are and that no one is forgotten they feel loved by others and God. I also help plan and carry out activities for sisters in the church.
