Hi I'm Cydney

Jack of all trades, master of none. Teacher, designer, climber, snowboarder, wife. Most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a jack of all trades, master of none. By profession a teacher, I can often be found in my garage restoring old furniture or helping design a wedding. Most evenings I can be found at the rock climbing gym with my husband Bart. Weekends are balanced between rock climbing and backcountry snowboarding depending on the season. We are constantly on the go and are passionate about the outdoors. In fact, Bart proposed to me on the summit of Mt. Rainier and we spent our honeymoon biking along the northern coast of Spain. We've been married a little over a year and look forward to the time when we can start a family and share our passion for the outdoors with our little ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes sense to me. My faith gives me purpose and hope. It gives me direction and a direct road map to finding the best sort of happiness in life. Through my membership and service in this church I have felt the power and love of God and I wouldn't sacrifice that for anything.

How I live my faith

I love people. I love to serve. I love to teach. I believe that God sees the best in others and I strive to do the same. As a lifelong learner, I love to serve in ways that will stretch me spiritually and intellectually. I enjoy teaching from the scriptures and words of the prophets to see how the principles I learn can apply to my life. I love helping others see ways that they can apply teachings to their own lives as well. I have enjoyed working with the youth of the church and helping to inspire them to stand up for the values that will make them strong leaders in the future. I see my service in this church as a constant source of instruction and an outstanding opportunity for me to develop my talents and strengthen my weaknesses.
