Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to this wonderful church. I converted from Episcopalian when I was 26 years old. I now have an awesome family, which includes my eternal wife, my beautiful daughter, and my son who served a mission in Fort Worth, Texas. We were sealed as a family together for eternity one year later. I am a Plant Manager for a large food processing company. When I am not at work I spend my time reading and helping boy scouts progress towards their Eagle and family goals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I could no longer deny the truth that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me. My Heavenly Father gave his only begotten son for me. I knew from the time that I was a little boy that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were two distinct persons. I knew that I was made in God's image. When the missionaries taught me this principle, I knew by the power of the Holy Ghost that this church was true! The Book of Mormon testifies to these things. God lives and he loves me! Since I was baptized, my life has found meaning. I learned that families can be forever. I know that my wife and kids are not just for this life, but for eternity. I love my Savior and I would be lost without him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday through my scripture study and prayers. I grow everyday by serving others. I have the blessings of teaching the young men in my church on Sunday and again during the week. I get to teach gospel principles and scouting. I enjoy family home evening - this is the night each week that my family devotes to spend time together learning gospel principles and talking about our lives.
