Hi I'm Dan

I'm a Mormon and I'm a Foster Parent.

About Me

I am a Husband, Father, Foster Parent and an Operations Manager for a large transportation company. I enjoy working with my foster children, caring for their while allowing their mom and dad the needed opportunity to work through their challenges. I enjoy singing and playing guitar whenever the opportunity exists. I have lived and worked in several Caribbean countries, have a love for the Caribbean culture and language.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, living in Salt Lake City, however, made the decision for myself during high school that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were teachings that were not only good, but the best way I could live my life. I took the invitation given by Moroni, an early Prophet in the Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:3 - 5, which asked me to read the Book of Mormon, Meditate the teachings, and Pray, asking the Father in the name of Christ if the teachings were true. I received a feeling in my heart that the teachings were true, and that the life I was living was the way the Lord wanted me to live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my daily life. I avoid using obscene language, and do not use any addictive substances, like tobacco alcohol or drugs that would not only damage my body, but my spirit as well. I spend my spare time working with my wife and children in our home, or providing service to our neighbors and friends. I regularly attend church, and enjoy the peace that I receive there as I focus on the teachings of my Savior Jesus Christ and the Prophets.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Dan
As a Mormon, I have never felt pushed to support any specific political candidate, rather, have been encouraged to study each candidate, understand their beliefs and history, then support the candidate who will best represent me and the way I live my life. This candidate will shape the future of our government, and the world my children grow up in. That is why I must be sure to understand what they will vote for as they represent me. Show more Show less
