Hi I'm Todd Snyder

I was born in Camberra Australia. I've lived in Equador, Washinton D.C., Louisiana, and Utah. I'm half Jewish .I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Was was born a U.S citizen to a diplomat in Canberra Australia. When I was three months old my dad was assigned to Ecuador for three years before he retired in Washington D.C. I grew up there for 10 years from kindergarten to eight grade. I played many sports including football, soccer, lacrosse, gymnastics, and wrestling. We moved when I was 13 to Utah to be closer to family. I went to high school there where I played football and lacrosse for my high school. I loved football and was a running-back while I was a middie in lacrosse. After I graduated I did a year of college where I am working on an undergraduate in Microbiology. When I return to school I plan on joining the Navy. I am right now serving a mission for my church in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church as both my parents were converted before they got married. I was raised by my parents to go to church, obey the commandments, and read the scriptures. However, even though this was what my parents raised me to do, I was not always faithful. I went through most of my life all the way to high school without really caring much about religion but still knowing it was true. Not long before my mission I really started to take an interest in what it meant to me to be a Mormon. I started praying and reading the scriptures more. I have come to love the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ lives and that this truly is his religion organized on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true words of God through prophets in the ancient Americas. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can return to live with God and have his greatest gift, eternal life!

How I live my faith

Before I left on my mission my faith impacted my daily life. I would go to church on Sundays and keep the sabbath day holy. I would refrain from using foul language or using illegal drugs, alcohol, coffee, tea, or tobacco. I can see how refraining from those things blessed my life. Right now my I live my faith 24/7! As a missionary of the Lord I devote every minute of everyday to his work that needs to be done. I work to bless others through the atoning power of Jesus Christ. For 2 years I am a full time missionary of the Lord, however even though when I return I am not called to preach full time, my life will still be centered around Christ and his gospel!
