Hi I'm Jen

I love to listen, learn and experience the "present" which is our daily "gift" from the creator of us all Heavenly Father :)

About Me

I grew up in Utah and California. I currently reside in Arizona. Throughout my life I have enjoyed sewing, needle crafts, reading, swimming, skiing, and nature. I love to learn and am amazed by the Internet and all of the knowledge that is readily available on any subject. I live a simple life with my main focus striving to follow the teachings of our perfect example Jesus Christ. I continue to learn about the Savior’s gospel through the scriptures and the words of our modern day prophets and apostles. I am so fortunate to have three wonderful children and an amazing son in law. I know families can be together forever through ordinances that are performed in holy temples. I attend the temple often and do work for those who did not have the opportunity to make these sacred covenants while on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was seven years old my family moved to a small community in Utah. I had some wonderful friends and neighbors who invited me to church. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt we have a loving Heavenly Father who sent each of us to this earth to be tested, tried and proven. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. Through his atonement we can repent and be forgiven. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who assisted in the restoration. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know we have a prophet and apostles who receive revelation to lead, guide and direct us. No matter what challenges come my way I can endure them with peace in my heart. I know my Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ love me unconditionally and are just a prayer away to assist and help me each and every day.

How I live my faith

The scriptures give us guidance and direction on how to find peace and happiness each day no matter what our circumstances may be. Here are some of the scriptures I pattern my life after. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” (Luke 10:27) "… Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8) “Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.” (Deuteronomy 5:12) “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10)
