Hi I'm Buck

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of seven fun children. I work at Lockheed Martin as a business manager. My hobbies include tennis and doing scouts and other things with our kids.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and grandparents are Mormon, but that's not why I am. Sure, they introduced me to the church -- but I'm pretty independent. When I was a teenager I prayed to know if the Church was true. It took a while, but I got my answer. And my prayer has been confirmed through subsequent study and experiences that reaffirm that 1) God lives, 2) He loves us today as much as He did in the Bible days, 3) He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live and die for us, 4) Jesus was resurrected, and 5) Jesus leads this Church today through a living prophet.

How I live my faith

I've really enjoyed the callings and assignments I've had in the church to benefit the church members and others in the community. Probably the most fun has been serving with the youth (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Young Women programs, and the children. They get it and say things how they are. My current assignment is Cub Scout Committee Chairman -- that's a Cub Scout assignment where I coordinate Cub Scout meetings, ensure the boys are progressing in their achievements and that leaders know how to help them.
