Hi I'm DK

I grew up in the Midwest. I've been an Alaskan tour guide. I've escaped from Alcatraz. I'm a doctor. I'm a father. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the rural Midwest. Leaving the Midwest and going to College never occurred to me until my senior year of high school. 5 years later I had been to College for 2 years, a missionary in Tokyo Japan, back to College, and even a tour guide for Japanese tourists in Alaska. Now, years later, I have traveled around the world, become a physician and a husband and father. There is nothing greater to me in this world than being a Dad.

Why I am a Mormon

Although raised by my Mother as a Mormon, it was not until I was away at college that I realized I needed to decide for myself whether or not I believed the teachings of our Church. So, after some self-made trials that I had to find my way through, I decided to search for the truth myself. I decided to put it to the test- if it was true, I would follow in what I had learned growing up in the Church. If not, I had plenty of friends to follow and spend time with. For several months I read the Book of Mormon and prayed every day, went to church every Sunday, and sincerely asked God to give me an answer. One evening in my college apartment, in an undeniable and miraculous manner, God answered my prayers. God let me know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His true and living Church. That evening was "the first day of the rest of my life". Since that evening, I have chosen to try my best to keep the commandments and follow the teachings of this Church. God and Jesus Christ are my 1st priorities in life. As a result, my life has been tremendously blessed beyond what I could ever of imagined. I will always be thankful for the miracle of God answering my prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by providing my time and resources to church and community service in order to help others. Regardless of how busy I am or what stage in life I am in, I make the time to serve others as Christ would have me serve. I pay 10% of my income to the Church and give other offerings to people in need. I try to be a good husband and father. I try to be completely honest and true to my word in all that I do.
