Hi I'm Andrew

I am a lacrosse player, a lover of the outdoors, I'm shy yet social, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, I love living there and don't have any plans of leaving. I am from a large family of 9 kids (yes all from the same parents). I love them all very much, they mean so much to me. I love the simple things in life and I seem to have way too many things that I enjoy doing yet have no skill at doing any of them. I am a good listener (or so I think) and I have an appreciation and understanding for where people are coming from (even if I don't always see eye to eye). My favorite pastime is playing lacrosse and it is the thing that gives me the most comfort while at the same time the most stress! Although I have no idea what I want to do for the rest of my life I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to live it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I have found for myself the truthfulness of this gospel. The gospel has greatly shaped my life and who I am as a person. Being a member of the church has helped me have happiness and joy in the relationships with my family and friends. It has helped me to find peace and comfort in a tumultuous world where life's challenges sometimes seem overbearing. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that this church is God's church on the earth today. I know that this gospel was restored on the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon was brought forth through the power of God and I know that it is true. I know that God continues to call prophets today and that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet called today. That is why I am a mormon. Beacause I know for myself that these things are true.

How I live my faith

The best way I live my faith is to always try and be the best person I can be. No one is perfect, myself especially, but as I try to live the gospel day to day I know I can become the person God know's I can be. Through applying the atonement of Christ, I can start over when I make mistakes and find new strength as I continue to try and be better. Another way I live my faith is by sharing it with others. I had the wonderful blessing to have been a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the last 2 years, and it was the greatest experience of my life! I will always cherish the moments to be able to see the gospel affect the lives of those I have come to love so much! I also live my faith by maintaining the standards that I know bless my life. Though it has always been a struggle to always do so, I find that as I do it helps me to be happier and more satisfied with my actions. I hope one day to find a good young women that shares my same values and standards that I can marry and start a family with. I know that if I do this I will be able to find the same joy that I have felt in my family now. I look forward to the day when I can accept other callings in the church to serve others and help them partake of the gospel even more.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

The Prophet of the church is called of God as his mouthpiece and is sustained by the members of the church. Jesus Christ leads the church, and the prophet is his appointed servant. Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today and leads and guides this church under the direction of Christ. Show more Show less
