Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the husband of a beautiful woman, whom I am blessed to be sealed to in the temple, the House of the Lord. We have three wonderful children, two of whom are married in the temple and have families of their own. Currently I have four precious grand-children who are all sealed to their parents and to me and my sweetheart for time and all eternity. Our third child past from this earthlife when he was 13 years old, and is now serving our family and many others on the other side of the veil. Because he is sealed to us, and through our faithfulness, we will be able to be with him again after our lives are complete on this earth. We are so thankful for our Saviour's sacrifice that gave us the opportunity to live again with our loved ones. I have many interests, most of which include my wife and family but also the beauty of the State of Colorado. We enjoy going high into the mountains in our Jeep, where we picnic, hike and relax taking in the cool mountain air, wild flowers, snow capped peaks and smell of the pine trees. We also enjoy traveling abroad, seeing the wonderful sights around the world. Although I do not fly anymore, I am a licensed private pilot and love aviation. One of the great joys of my life was spending time in Alaska, taking in the sights and being surrounded by small bush planes. I was in awe of the stories of many who made flying the bush of Alaska their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to enjoy the fullness of what my Heavenly Father has to offer, eternal happiness and exhaltation. Through the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ I can be sealed to my family for time and all eternity, have a living prophet give my family counsel and guideance here on the earth, and enjoy the blessings of the Saviour's priesthood here on the earth and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

Each day I live my faith by trying to be the best I can be. As a child of God, and one who holds His priesthood, I try each day to act as He would have me act. This means that I try to show respect to all I encounter, look for ways to serve, and to have a spirit of love and happiness each day. Each week I help others by serving as the director of an employment center. Having been unemployed several times through my career, I know well how it feels to be out of work with a family to care for and bills to pay. I felt so alone with my burdens and often uncertain where to turn for help. I now feel a great need to help others in this situation by offering encouragement and teaching them the skills they need to find worthwhile employment again. I also look in each month on two - three families, making sure their needs are being met and that they feel loved and appreciated. Through time, the relationship I establish with these families evolves to one of trust, mutual dependence and love. It is interesting to me how important the welfare of these families become, after serving them over the months. Additionally, I live my faith each day having a deep love and appreciation for my family more fully understanding the sacred gift that they are to me. Our Heavenly Father has established the Family so that we can love and be loved. It is through this "core" that we learn to love unconditionally, sacrifice all that we are, and be loved much the same as our Heavenly Father loves us. It is so sacred that we have been given Temples so that we can be sealed together forever.
