Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and now live in Idaho. I am married with two daughters.

About Me

I am a physical therapist. I enjoy music, movies, reading and time with my family. Over the last two years I have become interested in photography, mainly landscapes. I grew up in Utah. I am the oldest of four.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up in the church, I reached a point where I wanted to know if what I had been taught was really true or not. I was taking a class on the Book of Mormon and decided I needed to know if it was true. I hadn't finished it, but I decided to pray about it. I prayed fervently, but I did not receive and answer at that time. I felt like I needed to keep praying. So for about two weeks, I kept praying. One afternoon, I was reading and I felt something touch me and pass through my body from my head to my toes. I felt peace. I felt what I was reading was true. Since that time, I have had many similar experiences over the years with the scriptures, conference, blessings, and reading other books that have testified to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know it is the Lords church in these the latter days before he comes again. I know that some pieces of truth can be found everywhere, but only in this church can you find all the pieces, knowledge, priesthood and ordinances necessary for salvation. I testify that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and Joseph Smith translated it. I testify that Jesus is the Christ, he is who he said he was. He loves us. I testify that Thomas S. Monson is his prophet on the earth at this time. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am serving as a first counselor in the Bishopric. I am over young womens and primary. I also serve as a hometeacher where I visit assigned families each month. I have meetings on Sunday and then on Wednesday evening we have youth night. On Monday nights, we have family home evening where we have a lesson, and study the gospel. I try to read daily from the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price. I pray twice daily and also pray with my little family. Being a member is more than just 3 hours on Sunday. It's a way of life. It's something that changes the way you see the world and how you interact in it.
