Hi I'm Kenz

I'm a college student studying elementary education. I'm a big sister, and a friend, a crazy fun person. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey I'm Kenz or Mack (which ever you like better). I'm the oldest of three girls. And I wouldn't change it for anything. I love my family and I don't know what I would do without them in my life. Along with being a sister and daughter, I'm a full blown college student working two jobs to make my dream of being a teacher a reality. I love using theater to teach all students any subject. Its the best joy in life seeing a child who was once falling behind, get it, and get ahead. Its a job that doesn't pay much in cash, but in emotions and personal joy its the best thing in the world. I'm a college student so I love doing stupid things with my friends. Going to concerts, seeing movies, staying out far to late, and just laughing about the dumbest things. Along with the fun crazy stuff, I also like to just have me time. Listening to music, reading, or just thinking. Its the times I give myself a chance to think I find myself closer to my family, friends, and Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it is true. I was born in to a LDS family, so its always been there. However, my parents were great because they let me decide what was true for me. This Church has such an emphasis on family, and personal worth, a person can't help but love themselves and those around them. When I read the Book of Mormon, or Bible my heart just takes off. I know my father in Heaven loves me and sent his son to die for me so that I could join my family and friends again. I know that the Lord does not leave his children in the dark. He has given us a modern day Prophet Thomas Monson to lead us and let us know what the Lord wants us to do. So many people believe we are a religion of little freedom or fun. Its just not true. There are few things that we as members are not allowed to do. Its all by choice that I don't drink or do drugs. Its a choice that I am saving myself for marriage. these are all choice I have made because I want to value myself and show the world that I can still enjoy life and keep myself safe. I may be weird to some, but I'm ok with that. I don't claim to be perfect or to have a perfect knowledge of this Church. But I am growing and learning, I'm becoming a better person everyday and with every trial. I know that I was meant to come to this world at this time. I have my Heavenly Father, and Savior Jesus Christ to help me every step of the way. And when my strength or knowledge is not enough they pick me up and help make up the difference. That is why I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

As a college student I sometimes find it hard to live the perfect life. I'm the only member at both of my jobs. But my friends there look up to me. I don't work on Sundays, I dress to present myself in the most modest way possible, I use language that would be becoming to other workers, and I try to share what little knowledge I have with anyone who asks. I try to use my skills as a teacher whenever I can. I volunteer in multiple after school programs, so that kids have a place to go that doesn't involve gang life. I also try to serve the members i go to church with. Whenever anyone is sick in the Ward or needs help moving I do my best to stop by and lend a hand around the house, bring food, clean up, whatever I can do to help make life easier. That's something so great about this church is its all about serving others to make everyone feel loved and part of some family. I do whatever I can to let others know they have a "sister" away from home. Someone they can talk to, get advise, cry to, or just laugh with.
