Hi I'm Beth

I have lived in South Carolina most of my life. I like math and sewing and being a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended college, majoring in mathematics. During college, I met my husband. We married and started our family, and both graduated college the same year. We now have 5 kids (1 boy, 4 girls). I stay at home with the kids (most of them are in elementary school). I like to sew, bake, read, and organize and rearrange. I also like to teach things to my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel - the simplicity of the plan of salvation and how perfectly it all fits together. As a teenager, I remember being encouraged to pray and find out for myself that the gospel is true. I have never had a great revelatory experience, but every time I asked anything about the truthfulness of the gospel, I felt happiness and peace. I have seen blessings come into my life, or blessings that were already there made more obvious to my eyes as I have kept the commandments. As I attend my meetings and study the gospel on my own, I feel greater love for my family and a greater desire to teach them all I have learned. I know Jesus Christ lives, I know He loves me and understands me, and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church and has His full gospel.

How I live my faith

I am responsible for compassionate service organized in my congregation (organizing service efforts to meet the needs of the women and their families - such as meals, packing before a move, cleaning, babysitting - when there is a need in the family). I also teach one Sunday a month in the women's organization (Relief Society). I also visit a few sisters each month to share a spiritual message and to talk with them and give any help they may need at the time.
